Winner to Join BVL in Washington, D.C. for Veterans Day Ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery

Fairfax, VA – September 10, 2025 – The Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL), bowling’s own and oldest charity, is proud to announce the winner of its recent Salute to Veterans campaign, which concluded on July 31. The campaign rallied the bowling community in support of America’s veterans, raising critical funds for BVL programs nationwide.

As part of this recognition, the campaign winner, Edward Hogan, has been invited—along with a guest—to join the BVL Board of Directors in Washington, D.C. for the Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery on November 11, 2025. Together, they will take part in a powerful and humbling moment: the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

In addition to attending the ceremony, the winner and guest will be hosted for a special dinner with the BVL Board on the evening of November 10, and will receive airfare, hotel accommodations, and meals as part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“This honor is about more than recognition—it’s about standing alongside veterans, honoring their service, and showing the impact, the bowling community can make,” said Nancy Schenk, BVL Board Chair. “We are thrilled to celebrate Mr. Hogan and share this extraordinary Veterans Day together.”

Founded in 1942, BVL has provided more than $59 million in support to brighten the lives of veterans through recreation therapy and wellness programs. From MyndVR headsets and service dogs to arts and music therapy, BVL continues its mission to ensure that no veteran is forgotten.
